Safeguarding Policy – Bollywood Empire Dance School

 

At Bollywood Empire Dance School, the safety, wellbeing, and welfare of all participants are a priority. We are committed to creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment where children and adults can enjoy dance, learn, and participate with confidence and respect.

Purpose of this Policy

This policy outlines our commitment to safeguarding children, young people, and vulnerable adults attending classes and activities at Bollywood Empire Dance School.

Our Commitment

Bollywood Empire Dance School aims to:

  • Provide a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
  • Treat all participants fairly and with respect regardless of age, gender, race, religion, disability, or background.
  • Promote the wellbeing and safety of all children and adults attending classes.
  • Respond appropriately to any safeguarding concerns raised.

Supervision of Children

  • At least one parent, guardian, or responsible adult aged 18 or over must remain present during all children's classes.
  • Children must not be dropped off and left unattended.
  • The responsible adult should remain available throughout the class duration and be contactable at all times.
  • Responsibility for the child remains with the parent or responsible adult attending with them.

Collection and Drop-Off

  • Parents or responsible adults are responsible for ensuring children arrive safely and are collected promptly at the end of class.
  • Children should not leave the venue alone unless prior written agreement has been given by a parent or guardian.

Behavior and Respect

All students, parents, guardians, and visitors are expected to:

  • Treat others with kindness and respect.
  • Behave appropriately during classes and events.
  • Avoid any behavior that could cause harm, distress, intimidation, or discomfort to others.

Inappropriate behavior may result in being asked to leave a class or activity.

Photography and Video Recording

Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during classes, events, or performances and may be used on our social media platforms and other promotional materials for marketing and promotional purposes.

  • Consent will be taken during registration process via website. There is an option to opt out in the same section.
  • Parents or attendees should inform us if they do not wish themselves or their child to be photographed or recorded.
  • We will respect the preferences selected during registration and ensure these choices are followed where reasonably possible.

Reporting Concerns

Any concerns relating to safety, wellbeing, inappropriate behavior, or safeguarding matters should be reported directly to Bollywood Empire Dance School as soon as possible so that appropriate action can be taken.
